Geoff Storer

Principal Consultant & Managing Director


A Chartered Mechanical Engineer who graduated with a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand in 1980.  Geoff practiced as a Engineer in the Oil/Gas, Mining and Material Handling Sectors for 7 years before changing his career to focus on IT and the practical application of Computers and Electronics to solve business problems.

In 1987, Geoff founded and was Managing Director of Q Technology Pty Ltd, a company that supplied Compaq & IBM Computer systems, Network Integration Services, and Custom Software application in Western Australia.  This company was twice recognised by Australian Business Review Weekly in their "Annual Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies" list for Australia.

Geoff decided to change direction in 2001 and founded Alt Vision Pty Ltd, and to follow his passion for Business Process Design & Re-engineering, Service Improvement and assisting companies with improving their IT Service Delivery by applying Best Practices.

As the Principal Consultant, Geoff provides Process Design & ITSM/ITIL consulting, Preparation of IT Service Delivery Strategies, Road Maps for Transition from legacy Systems and Project Management for ITSM/ITIL Transformation Projects.


David Francis

Head South Asia & Middle East Operations, Lead ITSM Trainer & Consultant

A Chartered Professional Civil Engineer who graduated with his Masters from the University of Natal Durban in 1980, David practiced as an engineer for 10 years before transitioning to a full time IT career. He has worked in Africa, Australia, SE Asia, India and the Middle East and has gained significant experience in dealing with various cultures, customs and business relations.

David is an accredited EXIN / ISEB/ LCS independent ITIL lead trainer and senior consultant and is a certified ITIL V2 Service Manager and ITIL V3 Expert as well as a Certified Cherwell Implementer.

Over the past few years, David has provided training and consulting to many large companies in IT Service Management, including  Wipro, Infosys, TCS, HCL, Patni, Hindustan Petroleum, HSBC, Cap Gemini, Scope, Cognizant, ITC, Siemens, Deloitte, Microsoft, Oracle, Unisys, CSC, AIG, Merrill Lynch, HP, IBM, BBSE, Customs and Excise of India, Orange, Airtel, ICICI, Bank of India, Deutsche bank, ANZ, GE, Genpact, Symantec, NNPC and Aramco.



John Costello

Senior Consultant  & Manager of Support


With 30+ years in the IT industry, John has a broad range of experience including: designing and implementing civil engineering and surveying computing and mapping systems, development of surveillance systems for submarine cable equipment, and major database driven web-based applications.

John managed Q Technology’s network & server consulting and engineering group for six years, and has spent the last ten years with Alt Vision, providing custom web solutions and supporting Alt Vision’s Service Management client base.

John maintains a hands-on approach and is very customer focused. He works closely with clients to ensure systems provided meet both their immediate needs and cater for their future expansion requirements whilst maintaining a focus to deliver on time and on budget.

As a Certified Cherwell Implementer, John is leading Alt Vision’s Team of consultants for the installation, adaptation and training of the ITSM/ITIL based Cherwell Software Suite
